Healthy Marmot Kids

Dear Parents:

Aspen Crossing Elementary is embarking on a Healthy Marmot Kid Zone this year! This program is to encourage and develop healthy life-style choices which will hopefully continue all year long! We invite you to take part in a 3 month health and wellness challenge! The program is to encourage students to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and be active for at least 60 minutes a day.

The program will kick off September 1st through November 30th!

Student’s goal is to earn 75 days of eating fresh fruits and vegetables a day and have 60 minutes of physical activity during the 91 days available. Tracker sheets will need to be turned in at the end of each month with parent initials and signatures. Students can use recess and physical education class as part of their activity log. Students that successfully earn 75 days will be able to participate in a field trip to DU women’s basketball game on December 9th during the school day. DU plans on providing some great entertainment followed by the women’s basketball game. Students will need to provide a healthy sack lunch for the day. If your student is interested in participating in this HEALTY MARMOT choice please sign up below! ALL Tracker Sheets are DUE: Dec. 1st!

Thanks for being a HEALTY Marmot Kid! If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Hasstedt.
